hexagonWhat is E-therapy, Online Therapy or E-counseling?

E-therapy or e-counselling is a real-time chat service, a way to receive counselling online, at a distance. It is a fast, easily accessible, cost effective, time-efficient way to access a professional from your own home at whatever time of day works for you. You make an appointment with Zena, and at your appointed time, you communicate via e-mail, or Skype .

Advantages of e-counselling:

  • Anonymity: Some people feel safer and are able to be more open and honest when they are not face-to-face with their counsellor.
  • Convenience: Greater flexibility and options in appointments
  • Time efficiency: You don't need to take time off work or travel anywhere
  • Accessibility: Offers increased access to services from rural and remote locations or to people who are unable to leave their homes or travel to an office
  • Cost-effective: Costs less than face-to-face counselling, and travel costs, child-care costs etc can be eliminated.

You have a written record of the conversation – your thoughts and feelings - for feedback and clarification.
This is a good way for you to get feedback and give feedback to your counsellor to ensure that you get the most out of the process.
E-therapy is not suitable for everyone's needs. It is not intensive psychotherapy. It is not suitable for diagnosing or treating psychiatric illness. It is not an effective means of responding to crises such as suicidal feelings, homicidal feelings, abuse, trauma, or acute psychiatric symptoms.

The standard of success in life isn't the things. It isn't the money or the stuff. It is absolutely the amount of joy that you feel.
